Purpose

The Climate Cloud is focussed on raising awareness of the causes and effects of; and potential solutions to; climate change.

Our belief is that understanding drives changes in behaviour. Mitigating the causes, or adapting to the impacts, of Climate Change requires individuals to accept a 'cost' of doing things differently, whether this is buying foods with a lower carbon footprint or supporting renewable subsidies through electricity bills. An individual's willingness to pay these costs will only come through an understanding of why such costs need to be incurred.

What we do

We raise awareness through a number of routes:

• An up-to date website providing background to the science and solutions as well as a directory of organisations, policies and projects in related areas;
• An outreach programme, targetting schools (of all levels), universities and companies to communicate the latest research and projects;
• The development of resources which are made freely available to be used in any learning environment;
• An active social media presence, supporting the distribution of information;
